Lock/Unlock Computer With The Help Of Your Pendrive

There are many third party software available in markets and on internet to lock your computer. Many people prefer using internet downloading rather than wasting money. And some people prefer using inbuilt locking system. But whatever you do there's a default in every process. I know people doesn't like wasting money therefore they prefer free downloading from internet, and they end up downloading trial version. So they have no choice and they have to buy it. People like me will that software and will upload that on internet to make money. Normal people will rather buy it or use inbuilt locking ftures of an operating system and later on will end up forgetting the or some will it. So is there any other way. Well if you ask me i'll tell yes indeed there's a way, use yourpendrive. What.? Don't get so confused we are rlly gonna use our pendrive but how it actually works. Well its pretty simple you guys only needSYS

So First lets give you a little detail aboutSYS

SYSis a utility thatencryptsthehashed information in aSAM databasein asystem using a 128-bitencryption .SYS was an optional fture added in NT4.0 SP3. It was mnt to protect againstoffline attacks so that the SAM database would still be secure even if someone had a copy of it. However, in December 1999, a security tm from Bind View found a security hole in SYS which indies that a certain form ofcryptanalytitack is possible offline. Abrute force attackthen appred to be possible. later collaborated with Bind View to issue a fix for the problem (dubbed the ‘Sys Bug’) which apprs to have been settled and SYS has been pronounced secure enough to resist brute force attack.According to Todd Sabin of the Bind View tm RAZOR, the pre-RC3 versions of 2000were also affected. So this is pretty cool, right? Well, I rlly like the id of keeping this on Floppy so that it requires a floppy (a sort of 2 factor (hardware/software) authentiion?).Naturally I wanted to go a bit further and use this on a USB drive instd of storing to a Floppy. I can’t see myself carrying a floppy and a USB floppy drive around with me. After all, this provides another layer of security.
NOTE: I haven’t tested copying data from 1 USB to another USB to see if it works as a backup. This way you could lock up a USB drive as a spare if needed.
Here’s how to get this to work using a USB drive.

1. Insert your USB drive into your system and wait for it to be recognized and install any necessary drivers.
2. Fire up management and re-assign the drive letter it was given to “A”.

Start up management by clicking Start and typing mgmt.msc

Right-click the USB drive and choose to assign driver letter or path.

Assign it to letter “A”

Accept the warning message

Now your USB drive is “A”
3. Run Sys and save encryption to USB Drive “A”

Click Start and type sys followed by hitting Enter

Sys launched; Click “Update”

Choose “Store Startup on floppy ” and click “OK”

You’ll be prompted to enter your ette. Make sure your USB drive is inserted and writable.

4. Reboot and have fun. Don’t lose your USB ! Also, to revert this, you can run sys again and choose to store it locally instd of “on a floppy ”.
